Concept
The site is located in the NYCU auditorium. Our proposal is to extend the space of the integrated service center while preserving the corridor to maintain circulation flow. Considering that the café serves external visitors and the service counter serves internal users, we integrate both into a “service counter strip,” effectively combining the functions of a bar and a service desk while clearly defining the souvenir retail area. On the second floor, a spiral staircase is introduced to open up the previously enclosed vertical interface, allowing the café to connect with the upstairs seating area. The original meeting room is relocated to the corridor and redesigned as an open-plan space, with curtains used to adjust between transparency and privacy.
